HIGHWAY DESIGN The WM&A approach to Highway Design is based upon the development of effective solutions which are in keeping with the context of the adjacent communities and the surrounding environment. We view safety as paramount, both for work zone conditions and after the project is constructed. We advance highway design so that all elements, most notably maintenance of traffic, erosion and sediment control and drainage features are integrated into a constructible and well-sequenced project. We emphasize clearance of right-of-way, utilities and permits because of their importance to critical path and ultimate project delivery.
