Parks and Trails are important social amenities that enhance quality of life and are truly valued by communities. These facilities are utilized by many and therefore planning and design must consider the input of the reviewing agencies as well as the local citizens and community groups. WM teams with local Landscape Architects on Park & Trail projects. We seek to develop integrated solutions where user needs are met, sustainability is achieved and the facilities are seamlessly woven within adjacent communities, schools and transportation. Park & Trail facilities designed by WM include “plaza” style parks, linear parks featuring hiker/biker trails, boardwalks, and interpretive signing at environmentally sensitive areas, as well as park access roads and parking areas.
