December 2018 – The Baltimore Sun Names WM a Top Midsize Workplace of 2018

For the fourth year in a row, The Baltimore Sun has named Wallace Montgomery as a Top Midsize Workplace. WM was ranked 15 out of 25 midsize employers in the Baltimore region. The Sun worked with an employee research and consulting firm, to develop the survey criteria for evaluating employee engagement and satisfaction: These criteria included the organizations’ effectiveness at encouraging employees’ talents and ideas; companies’ alignment with their missions and visions; managers’ relationships with employees; and employees’ confidence in their companies’ leadership (among others).

The Sun sent this survey to 205 workplaces, and estimates that 23,092 workers around the area responded to it. These responses helped the paper develop its ranking of 125 Top Workplaces across the large, midsize, and small firm categories. The CEO of the consulting firm told the Sun, “Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy, it’s an achievement organizations have to work for.”

The WM Partners see this continued recognition as a reflection of the firm’s investment in their employees: “Over the last several years WM has strived to create a culture that is inclusive, diversified, nurturing and proactive in engaging our folks throughout the organization.
