The MD 404 Design-Build Project Wins the ACEC MD Grand Award

The ACEC MD has honored the MD 404 Design-Build Project with the Grand Award, which reflects the breadth and scope of achievement for this complex design-build effort. The MD 404 Design Joint Venture Team of Wallace Montgomery, JMT, and RK&K; the Construction Joint Venture of Wagman Heavy Civil, Allan Myers, and David A. Bramble, Inc.; and the Independent Design Quality Assurance team of Century Engineering came together to develop a project that would use innovative and practical design to enhance safety and reduce congestion along the heavily-traveled MD 404 – which has had an immediate benefit to three counties.

This project was a high priority for the State of Maryland, so the project team had to work collaboratively and efficiently on a fast-tracked schedule.
