Wallace Montgomery (WM) adopted Habitat for Humanity as our sponsored charity for 2019. Throughout the year, we’ve held various fundraising events – from bake-offs to Duckpin Bowling Tournaments featuring a “Pay for Pins” event. On a Saturday afternoon in June, members of the WM team worked together on a group build to install drywall in housing units in the Sandtown area of Baltimore City. But we haven’t stopped there – we turned our favorite autumn tradition, the Annual WM Chili Cook-Off, into a chance to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity. Our team members shared their favorite chili recipes to compete in the cook-off, while the “chili tasters” paid $5 to dip into the deliciousness, which went toward our Habitat to Humanity charity – raising more than $200. Congrats to our chili cook-off winners: First place went to Simone Champaigne, Design Engineer in Highways; second place went to Mark Bodmann, Associate for Highways; and third place went to Shari Lance, CADD Manager for IT. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy as we kicked off fall here at WM!
