WM Celebrates Bay Bridge Success for Westbound Deck Rehabilitation Project

Wallace Montgomery is proud to serve as the engineer for the Bay Bridge Westbound Deck Rehabilitation project – which is now 100 percent complete for all latex modified concrete, and open to all motorists. Working in close collaboration with the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) and the contractor, Wagman Heavy Civil, we were able to fulfill Governor Larry Hogan’s desire to significantly expedite this project. The project was originally anticipated to take up to two years, but, as a team, we delivered a reopened right lane more than a year ahead of schedule – and this project was finalized as the state is responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Maryland is facing significant challenges these days, and of course our primary focus is on the health and safety of our citizens amid the ongoing COVID-19 threat,” said Governor Hogan. “But it’s important to celebrate the reopening of the westbound right lane of the Bay Bridge, because for me it represents the spirit, dedication and work ethic that will see our state through any crisis.”
