Fear the Turtle!

In classic WM rivalry style, graduates from the University of Maryland celebrated a big win (54-10) for their Terps, while our Hokie-High faithful endured a rough loss in the 2021 Pinstripe Bowl. Losing not only their pride, Matt Davis and Ian Millikin of WM’s Richmond VA office, both graduates of Virginia Tech, had to pose for this picture sporting some glorious Terps apparel!  The price tag for losing also included a care package of some of Virginia’s finest craft beers, to be delivered to WM’s Hunt Valley office.

The aptly named bowl game gave Maryland its first winning season since 2014 and dropped the Hokies below 0.500 for the second consecutive year, while adding a fourth consecutive bowl game loss for the program. Matt Davis, a 2008 graduate from VT, had this to say, “This outcome came as no surprise to me…or anyone else who knows the current state of the Hokies Football Program”, clearly feeling the effects of the major let-down. Alongside him, Ian Millikan (’05), Vice President, admitted “I’ve heard rumors that Matt [Davis] has been secretly training over the last two weeks for his call up to play for the Hokies.”  Clearly both Matt and Ian are looking forward to bigger and brighter days for Hokie Football.

While the Virginia office licks their wounds from this terrible defeat, the triumphant Terp-Nation look forward to future challenges against our neighboring offices and their respective sports programs.  Go Terps!
