WM wins Project of the Year at CEAM

Originally built in 1915, the Henryton Road Bridge was the sole access for residents north of the structure. Recognizing the importance of this connection, Howard County replaced the aging bridge with a modern, safer bridge that meets today’s standards, eliminates former weight restrictions, and helps to reduce future maintenance.

The original 40-ft. concrete T-beam bridge had a 23-ft. roadway width. The new 56-ft. prestressed concrete bridge features a 27-ft. roadway width, drilled shaft foundations, and simulated stone parapets for aesthetic enhancements.

Wallace Montgomery proudly led the engineering efforts on this essential infrastructure project, collaborating closely with our subconsultants (Mercado Consultants, CST Engineering, and Findling) to bring vision to life.
