Wallace Montgomery was proud to participate in the joint APA Maryland and APA Delaware walking tour focused on the MD-272 Corridor Plan in North East, Maryland. Led by Wayne Martin, PE, Senior Project Manager at Wallace Montgomery, the tour highlighted key recommendations aimed at improving safety, mobility, and the overall downtown experience.
Participants explored transformative strategies identified through the plan, including converting Maudlin Avenue from one-way to two-way traffic, installing two roundabouts, and advancing pedestrian and bicycle improvements throughout the corridor. The event also underscored the importance of public engagement and collaboration in shaping transportation solutions that support vibrant, connected communities
We appreciate the opportunity to work alongside WILMAPCO, @Cecil County, and planning partners to help envision the future of the MD-272 Corridor. A special shout out to The Town of North East for hosting the event. Projects like this reflect the value of thoughtful planning and community-centered design in creating safer, more accessible places for everyone.
