Construction management and inspection services to support Phase 2 of the Rolling Road widening improvements, including roadway widening, shared-use path and sidewalk installation, traffic signal upgrades, stormwater improvements, retaining walls, soundwalls, and utility relocations. Work has included contract administration, coordination of inspection staff, and maintenance of project records in accordance with VDOT and federal requirements. The team has supported change order evaluations through development of Independent Government Estimates using bid history data and industry tools, while maintaining detailed documentation to support claims avoidance.
Scheduling and project controls efforts have included Critical Path Method schedule reviews and coordination with project controls to identify and mitigate potential delays. Public outreach has been essential due to the project’s residential setting, with ongoing communication regarding lane closures and construction impacts. Continuous field oversight and responsive issue resolution have helped maintain project momentum, minimize disruptions to the community, and keep the project aligned with schedule and budget objectives.
