David Borusiewicz, PE, DBIA – Partner
We are proud to announce that Mr. David L. Borusiewicz, PE, DBIA, has joined the Wallace Montgomery Partnership.
Dave’s career at Wallace Montgomery began 19 years ago, when he joined the firm as a promising talent to help expand and enhance our structural and bridge engineering work across the Mid-Atlantic region. He has worked on critical projects across the region; shaped the firm’s technical portfolio and operational processes; and refined WM’s strategies for incorporating innovation and customer service in every stage of project development.
Dave started as a Design Engineer and his technical acumen, ability to communicate with clients and colleagues, and leadership skills, soon earned him promotions to Project Manager, Associate, and Senior Associate within the Structural Engineering Department. During this time, he established strong relationships with staff across the company, and with firm’s diverse clients. Dave has distinguished himself through his exemplary customer service, and clients will specifically request him on contracts.
As Partner, Dave will continue to oversee the firm’s Structural Engineering Department – and he also has some powerful goals organization-wide. “We’re continuing to move the company forward in terms of technical innovation,” he says. Dave wants to continue to foster the close, collaborative atmosphere that has facilitated these technical innovations. “It’s really about building a family with the people who work here and encouraging collaboration from all points-of view,” he adds. “Innovation is about bringing new perspectives and being forward-thinking while holding on to the mission and core values that have made this firm so successful over past 40-plus years.”
Dave is an active member within the engineering community, having served on the Maryland Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers Board of Directors and is a past President. In 2006, the MDOT SHA Office of Structures gave him a Certificate of Appreciation for his work on the MD 30 Hampstead Bypass and MD 355 Deck Replacement projects. He also received the Maryland Chapter of the ASCE’s Young Civil Engineer of the Year Award in 2010. He volunteers with the Future Cities and Safe Racer Challenges, and is heavily involved in his family’s local church and the school that his daughters, Julia and Emily, attend. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park and a Master of Civil Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Washington DC, and Florida.
