Construction management and inspection services to support the I‑64 Gap Segment B widening, including the addition of one general-purpose lane in each direction, bridge widening and replacements, roadway widening and pavement rehabilitation, and installation of overhead signage and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Work has included construction within the median of the existing interstate right-of-way over an 8.7-mile corridor, coordinated with concurrent construction of adjacent segments.
Services have included full Owner’s representative oversight for design-build delivery, including design review, change management, materials compliance, quality management, and federal compliance in accordance with VDOT requirements and applicable manuals and standards. The team has supported environmental monitoring and permitting compliance due to proximity to waterways, as well as oversight of biological assessment development during construction. Continuous coordination of construction management and inspection staff, along with bridge, roadway, and drainage improvements, has supported efficient project execution, maintained compliance with project requirements, and helped keep the project aligned with schedule and performance objectives.
