Major congestion point along I-95 corridor that experiences substantial backups impacting operations and safety during peak periods of traffic. Bicycle accessibility along SR 896 is limited and unsafe, while pedestrian access is non-existent. Evaluated various grade-separated and at-grade solutions to accommodate traffic and provide safer multimodal interchanges while reducing conflict points and improving safety. Finalized bridge designs for four interchange bridges, as well as several overhead and ground mount guide sign structures. Completed phased construction MOT and detour, signing and pavement marking, and traffic signal design plans.
